A Valley Full of Possibilities
Summer in Alta Badia is an invitation to experience the mountains in all their beauty. Surrounded by forests, alpine meadows and breathtaking Dolomite views, every day brings a new adventure: gentle walks or more challenging hikes, bike rides, relaxing moments outdoors and activities designed for both adults and children. Wondering what to do in Alta Badia in summer? We’ve got the answer.
Time all to yourselves
A summer for two
For couples, Alta Badia is the ideal place to rediscover time and intimacy. Take the Piz Sorega cable car and let yourself be embraced by the tranquillity of the plateau, surrounded by the scent of hay and fresh mountain air, while your gaze opens up to the peaks of La Varella, Conturines, and Sas dla Crusc. A stop in a mountain hut or a moment in nature becomes an authentic experience—simple yet full of meaning.
For experienced hikers
A challenging itinerary of around 7 hours, recommended only for experienced hikers. The route starts in San Cassiano, following trail 11 up to Col de Locia, then continues along a steep section across scree slopes towards the base of Conturines. Here you’ll find the cave where, in 1987, fossil remains of the Ursus Ladinicus bear were discovered. Visits are possible only with a certified guide.
